If you are coming to stay at the Disney parks, make sure to add in some new expenses if you choose to stay on the Disney resort properties.
Walt Disney World released on Wednesday that for those who book on or after March 21st you will be charged a overnight parking fee for those guest who are staying on site with their vehicles. Each category of resorts have a different fee, the better the resort the higher the fee.
Here is the breakdown for the resorts:
Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night
DVC members do not have to pay the fee due to it being a new “perk” of the membership.
Disney’s Fort wilderness has Complementary parking for one spot so there would be no fee if traveling with one vehicle.
This does not effect those who are Dining at the resorts during the day, where you do have complementary standard parking.
Hurricane Irma came slamming into Florida and the eye going right over Orlando leaving some fallen trees and some water leaks around the parks, but great news comes from the mouse over at Disney World is that there were no serious damage so after being closed for two whole day’s due to the hurricane Irma, Disney has released the opening of the parks! Hours for Tuesday, September 12th are as follows:
Magic Kingdom – Extra Magic Hours 8AM-9AM, Park Hours 9AM-7PM, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 7PM-12AM
Epcot – Park Hours 9AM-9PM (Extra Magic Hours 9PM-11PM)
Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 9AM-9PM
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park – 9AM-9PM
Disney Springs – 10AM-12AM
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks will remain closed until Wednesday September 13th.
Now because there were over 7 million evacuees hiding from this hurricane I can only imagine the traffic will be atrocious from everyone coming back into the state to come home, and from everyone leaving their shelters to go home as well. Please remember to be patient on the roads.
Are you going to be at the parks this weekend? Well Animal Kingdom is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of “Bambi”! Can you believe its been that long! To celebrate “Bambi” Animal Kingdom has came up with a special character meet and greet with two characters from the movie!
That’s right, this fun loving couple Thumper and Miss Bunny will be waiting for you to come see them August 25th through August 27th! They will be hoppin around the Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch!

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts released some exciting news for Epcot over the weekend. The first thing he talked about was a new ride that is inspired from Disney’s popular movie Ratatouille! Race through Gusteaus five star restaurant to try to get to safety, all at the size of Remy from the movie! How awesome does that sound! This attraction is going to be past the Eiffel Tower in the France Pavilion of the World Showcase! We’ve got some Concept art from Disney, and from the looks of it , its going to be amazing!
Another awesome announcement is of another attraction in Future World in Epcot, it is the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, it’s inspired by the space world of Guardians of the Galaxy! The ride is suppose to go with the concept for future world of space travel! How freaking awesome is that? Becoming a huge GOTG fan the whole family is sure to love this ride! Disney has had this awesome idea where you can by pass the long stand by line and get on the ride faster, it’s called the Fastpass.. Say it with me … Oooooohhhh, Ahhhhh. It is quite awesome , especially when the line is two hours long during the summer months.
In Disney World you can set up your Fastpass on the “My Disney Experience App” if you have your ticket or pass. You can schedule up to 30 days ahead with your ticket, or pass, or if you book a Disney resort you can book your Fastpass up to 60 days ahead of time. You can add up to 3 Fastpass experence’s on the app, then when you complete all of them, you can add 3 more and so on. Here are the Fastpass must have’s.
- Space Mountain
- 7 Dwarfs Mine Train
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Splash Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Jungle Cruise
- Test Track
- Frozen Ever After
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden mountain
- Avatar Flight of Passage
- Na’vi River Journey
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
If you have the Park Hopper option you can not have one Fastpass from Magic Kingdom and one from Epcot. You must complete or cancel the Fastpasses you have set up to use it for another park. Fastpasses are life savors especially when you have little ones who hate standing in long rides.
Have you use Fastpasses? What are your feelings about it? Leave a comment down below and let me know!
After months of questioning from guests regarding Disney World’s “Hall of President” after the 2016 election of now President Trump, Disney has released that the 45th President will have a speaking roll in the attraction, like the last 3 presidents before him. To what extent of how long/ Big of a roll he has is still unanswered by Disney insiders. .
How ever the attraction was suppose to open this year mid-summer, the timing has now changed. Disney did release that the 20-25 minute running show will open again late in the year of 2017, and that it is still undergoing a huge refurbishment.
When President Trump won the election there was much controversy over the fact that he might speak. It had become such a big deal that multiple petitions of the president not even be in the show had arose. Despite the petitions Disney did decide to keep with the tradition and let him speak.
