I wanted to share some awesome news! James and I are actually getting married at Walt Disney World! When James first purposed we seriously looked into having our wedding there but ultimately it was just not in our budget. It would have ranged around $18,000 for only 50 people. After sadly walking away from the idea of having my dream wedding at Disney I looked everywhere for the perfect venue, but everything I looked at just couldn’t compare getting married at Disney World! So we looked at it again, and decided to have a smaller wedding ceremony at Disney, and then have a big reception some where closer to home. It would fit in our budget and I was one happy Bride!
Over the next few months i’ll be writing updates on how our wedding planning with the Disney Wedding Company is going!
Our process so far has actually been slow. I first called to figure out prices with a Disney Wedding consultant. We ended up picking the “Escape” collection, which is a small ceremony for 20 people including the Bride and Groom. Our Ceremony site is the “Sea Breeze Point Gazebo” by Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.
The Escape collection includes
- Ceremony and Cake & Champagne Venue with standard setup
• Planning and On-Site Escape Ceremony Coordinator
• A professional photographer for up to two (2) hours to capture the ceremony
and Cake & Champagne Celebration, twenty (20) print album, online posting of
photos and USB Drive (Includes copyright release, allowing you to print your own
images as large as 30” x 40”).
• Your choice of personal floral options for the couple
• Violinist for ceremony and Cake & Champagne Celebration (Organist and violinist
at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion ceremonies)
• Four (4) hour consecutive limousine charter for transportation to and from the
ceremony and Cake & Champagne Celebration
• 2–tier wedding cake
• Two (2) bottles of champagne for the toast (may also be exchanged for nonalcoholic
All of this ranges from $5,000-$7,000 depending on what site you pick. We just got an email this week from our Wedding Planner who has sent us the “extras” if we choose to pick them. Such as Characters, Cinderella’s carriage, and which setting you want for the Ceremony site. (Meaning Chairs, Flowers, and Isle runners, and Etc.)
While Disney has made it very simple to plan our ceremony with them, I still have a reception to plan. Saying that I have been using my Happy Planner to write down Guest list, Venue Spots, Vendors, and Budget. It has been my best friend through this whole ordeal and makes everything easier.
They have a insert for just for organizing your wedding and It has been a life savor. If you are an unorganized bride to be, then I highly recommend The Happy Planner.
I’ll be posting updates on how our Wedding planning is going with the Disney Company. We hope you enjoy!
