Halloween is in a few days! In the beginning of the month Bentley’s school had said the children can wear their costumes on Halloween day( he is going to be the Red Power Ranger), but now they changed their minds and can only dress up as “Story Book Character’s”. So having only a few days we needed a simple, and quick story book costume! In a matter of two days i was able to make this cheap costume for my little one and you can too!

Thing’s you’ll need:

  • Overalls
  • White T-shirt
  • headband
  • Poster board or cardboard
  • Brown paint
  • Black paint
  • Grey paint
  • pink paint
  • black face paint (or eyeliner)

I mostly had all of the paint already but Walmart has paint for around a dollar each, I also got the poster board and white T-shirt while at Walmart as well. The only thing I had to go find was the overalls, but fear not I found them at a child’s consignment store for around five bucks! (SCORE!). Tip: if you cant find overalls in boy’s, look in the girls section!14900349_1280043948704656_3383505926471693536_n

For the ears, I simply cut out two circles, painted then grey, let it dry and then painted a smaller circle within the ears. When they are completely I hot glued the circles to the headband.

The cookie was also simple to make, I just cut out a big circle and painted it light brown, let it dry completely, then with a darker brown I painted the chocolate chunks.
