Disney Inspired Small Shop of the day

“I want to be where the people aren’t”… I am so excited to share this weeks small shop with you, so I’m just gonna jump right in to it! Today’s small shop is owned by a computer savvy genius who has an amazing heart. I’ve talked to him a few times over Instagram and every time he has just been the sweetest!

Today’s Small Shop :

Jambo Joe

Joe makes a whole bunch of different things, from Pins, to hats and Shirts. I’ll first show you his shirts that he has, my favorite would be the “I want to be where the people aren’t”, because why wouldn’t you want this. I mean lets be serious not all of us are a “people” person and this just makes the message clear. Then to bring you back to mean girls with a hint of Disney he has a cute shirt with the saying ” That’s so fetch” it spots in the word fetch, which if you know your Disney classics then you know the spots are for 101 Dalmatians.

If you’re a muggle then you wont understand, but if you know your house then Joe has the hat for you that features your own sorting hat. So being a proud Hufflepuff I quickly snatched one of his hats for my self to show my house pride!

Finally i want to show his pins, as I’ve mentioned before I have a huge weakness for pins. So far I have kept my self control and haven’t got these yet but it’s wearing thin… So you know the Instagram like symbol? Yeah well Joe put it on a pin.. with a different Disney symbols. No, I’m not lying, and yes they are perfect. There is all kinds like, Cars, Tinkerbell, Frozen, Peter Pan, Sorcerer Mickey,  I could go on and on of just being in awe.

Okay so if you’re done obsessing over this awesome Disney inspired small shop then go here to get your own merch form Jambo Joe! , if you want to be a jealous person and are not done obsessing over it then go see all the awesome people showing off his stuff then check out his Instagram here.

I hope you enjoy this weeks small shop because I know i did!

Disney releases parks opening after Hurricane Irma hits the parks.

Hurricane Irma came slamming into Florida and the eye going right over Orlando leaving some fallen trees and some water leaks around the parks, but great news comes from the mouse over at Disney World is that there were no serious damage so after being closed for two whole day’s due to the hurricane Irma, Disney has released the opening of the parks! Hours for Tuesday, September 12th are as follows:

Magic Kingdom – Extra Magic Hours 8AM-9AM, Park Hours 9AM-7PM, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 7PM-12AM

Epcot – Park Hours 9AM-9PM (Extra Magic Hours 9PM-11PM)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 9AM-9PM

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park – 9AM-9PM

Disney Springs – 10AM-12AM

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks will remain closed until Wednesday September 13th.

Now because there were over 7 million evacuees hiding from this hurricane I can only imagine the traffic will be atrocious from everyone coming back into the state to come home, and from everyone leaving their shelters to go home as well. Please remember to be patient on the roads.

Were getting married at Disney!

I wanted to share some awesome news! James and I are actually getting married at Walt Disney World! When James first purposed we seriously looked into having our wedding there but ultimately it was just not in our budget. It would have ranged around $18,000 for only 50 people. After sadly walking away from the idea of having my dream wedding at Disney I looked everywhere for the perfect venue, but everything I looked at just couldn’t compare getting married at Disney World! So we looked at it again, and decided to have a smaller wedding ceremony at Disney, and then have a big reception some where closer to home. It would fit in our budget and I was one happy Bride!

Over the next few months i’ll be writing updates on how our wedding planning with the Disney Wedding Company is going!

Our process so far has actually been slow. I first called to figure out prices with a Disney Wedding consultant. We ended up picking the “Escape” collection, which is a small ceremony for 20 people including the Bride and Groom. Our Ceremony site is the “Sea Breeze Point Gazebo” by Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

The Escape collection includes

  • Ceremony and Cake & Champagne Venue with standard setup
    • Planning and On-Site Escape Ceremony Coordinator
    • A professional photographer for up to two (2) hours to capture the ceremony
and Cake & Champagne Celebration, twenty (20) print album, online posting of
photos and USB Drive (Includes copyright release, allowing you to print your own
    images as large as 30” x 40”).
    • Your choice of personal floral options for the couple
    • Violinist for ceremony and Cake & Champagne Celebration (Organist and violinist
    at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion ceremonies)
    • Four (4) hour consecutive limousine charter for transportation to and from the
ceremony and Cake & Champagne Celebration
    • 2–tier wedding cake
    • Two (2) bottles of champagne for the toast (may also be exchanged for nonalcoholic
    Sparkling Cider)

All of this ranges from $5,000-$7,000 depending on what site you pick. We just got an email this week from our Wedding Planner who has sent us the “extras” if we choose to pick them. Such as Characters, Cinderella’s carriage, and which setting you want for the Ceremony site. (Meaning Chairs, Flowers, and Isle runners, and Etc.)

While Disney has made it very simple to plan our ceremony with them, I still have a reception to plan. Saying that I have been using my Happy Planner to write down Guest list, Venue Spots, Vendors, and Budget. It has been my best friend through this whole ordeal and makes everything easier.

They have a insert for just for organizing your wedding and It has been a life savor. If you are an unorganized bride to be, then I highly recommend The Happy Planner.

I’ll be posting updates on how our Wedding planning is going with the Disney Company. We hope you enjoy!

Mickey Strawberry and Brownie Sticks

Sometimes Bentley is a serious picky eater, and I get tired of making different things for just him, that includes snacks. Something that has kinda changed my view on making different things for him is turning them into some fun “food art”. Today’s fun snack is Mickey strawberry and brownie sticks! Obviously another way to avoid it is by just telling him tough and make him eater whatever I fix him, but sometimes its just not worth it, just pick your battles on whats really important that day. Plus who wouldn’t want to make anything Mickey shaped?

Super simple to make!

 What You’ll Need:

  • Toothpicks
  • Grill Skewers
  • Strawberries
  • Brownies

So to make them, Just Start by taking a Strawberry slice it down the middle splitting it in half, use one side for Mickey’s face. Use the other side to make the ears, by cutting circles two circles.

Taking the small toothpicks break it in half, and use them to stick on the ears to the top of the unused side of the strawberry. Slide the strawberry Mickey onto the skewer you just made. With the brownies make them brownies according to the box, after baked let them cook then cut them into small squares squares or like I did cut a few mickey heads out, then slide them under the strawberries.

Then bam, a fun and delicious snacks/deserts. Bentley and I loved these, and it made making his snack less boring!

Disney Inspired Small Shop of the Day!

When you look at me you can tell I’m a Stay at home mom, I’m normally dressed down in a t-shirt and jeans with my hair up in a bun. I throw on some eyeliner and I feel alive for the day, but there are times when I love dressing up and this next small shop is my go to shop for my accessories when I do.

Today’s Shop:

Lillian & CO. is a small but oh so fabulous shop! They feature some amazing Disney inspired Bracelets, and now they have watches! Can you say Yes Please? The bracelets come in three amazing options. Sliver, Gold, and even Rose Gold! SO if you have a pair of those new Rose Gold Mickey Ears the Rose Gold Bracelet would match perfectly! They have so many Disney Inspired quotes on them, such as “Beauty is found within” from Beauty and the Beast, “You’ll be in my heart” from Tarzan, and “Best Day Ever” from Tangled,

I currently wear the “Beauty is found within” Gold bracelet when I go on our trips to Disney on a weekly basis, and it has held up to the standards I have for jewelry, which is pretty high cause I normally don’t wear any! I’ve talked to a few customers and they all have raved about how the bracelets are so well made, and so elegant!

Please don’t get me started on the beautiful watches they have, that match the bracelets! I have my eye on the “Kingswell Dreamer”Rose Gold watch! James says I can get it for our wedding coming up in April because my Dress is Rose Gold! Jumping for joy was an understatement!

Disney Girls weekend

I recently had a grand adventure by going to Disney by my self with no kids, and no fiance. It was just my two friends and I for the weekend at Disney World! We stayed at the All-Stars Sports Resort on Disney property and it was great!

We arrived at our resort later in the day so by time we got through check in and got to our rooms it was too late to go to Disney Springs as planned. What we ended up doing was grabbing some pizza down at the food court and headed back to the room and stuffed our faces, it was so relaxing and we had a blast! I also recommend getting the pizza from the resort food court because it was delish, also instead of marinara sauce get Alfredo sauce, you will thank me later!

The next morning we woke up around Six am to head towards Animal Kingdom for the Extra Magic Hours, which means the park opens an hour early just for resort guest! Here is our video of the rest of the day ! We hope you enjoy watching, and maybe can see you at the parks next time!
